Every organization is competing. They are competing for ad placement, customers, skilled-employees, and even alumni. That’s right, they are competing for their former employees. They most likely aren’t the only organization that an alumni has been associated with, and with the increase in the number of corporate alumni networks, it’s important that an organization sets itself apart. Why? Because if alumni are not engaged, then an alumni network will not be successful.
Engaging alumni is a challenging, but not impossible task. An organization must be willing to take the time to invest in their alumni and consider the benefits that each individual is looking for. One of the benefits that your alumni aren’t just asking for, but demanding from an alumni network are networking opportunities.
